bitFlyer; Expands into Europe, Database Issues Solved

The Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer announced that its Luxembourg-based subsidiary bitFlyer EUROPE received Payment Institution License under the guidance of Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier(CSSF).The company launched its virtual currency exchange business in European Union area on 23 January(GMT). The operator of Japan’s largest virtual currency exchange – by monthly transaction volume of bitcoins, has already started its virtual currency exchange business in US since last November.

Meanwhile, the company encountered database technical issues since this Tuesday and the problem is resolved with its online service set fully accessible from yesterday around 4pm(JST), according to the company’s announcement(SNS).

bitFlyer added that it has already improved the server configuration, related with the declined database processing speed and its server processing efficiency.
